Three Forks Fly In

@ Three Forks Airport 9S5 aka “Pogreba Field”
Whether you're a seasoned pilot, an aviation aficionado, or simply curious about the world of flight, this event promises something for everyone! Admission is free to all!
General Public:
Car parking will be available along the entrance to the airport. Airplanes are parked outside for viewing. The main hangar will have seating, meals, and items for sale. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair to use during the event. Dogs are allowed, but must be on a leash per airport policy.
Pilots:
Airplane parking will be near the airstrip, and volunteers will be available to assist you via radio. Camping underwing is permitted. Please visit the hangar to receive a free gift for flying in! Also, consider signing up ($10 entry) for the spot landing and flour bombing competition. Prizes will be awarded to top participants.

Pulled pork dinner in the main hangar. Open to MAAA members and friends, as well as pilots flying in, and volunteers.
Saturday August 3, 2024

Mingle with pilots and get a chance to view the airplanes up close. Then, make your way to the main hangar and cast your vote for “People’s Choice” favorite airplane. Winner announced at the 2:00 awards.

Fill your stomach with a warm breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and juice or coffee.
$10 per person. Kids 10 and under half price.

Young Eagles provides discovery flights for children ages 8-17, free of cost. Visit the EAA website here to learn more information about this amazing opportunity! Sign up is required in advance, fills quickly, and is first come first served. Contact Randie Keep at rjduke@yahoo.com

Feel free to set up a lawn chair while you kick back and watch a parade of planes take to the sky. Stay until 2:00 to discover who the winners are during our awards ceremony.
Flour bombing: A pilot/passenger duo are given two tries to drop sacks of flour out of their planes and hit as close to the target as possible.
Spot Landing: Pilots do their best to land as close to a mark on the runway as possible. This takes great skill!
Also, keep your eyes peeled for skydivers parachuting down from above throughout the day.

A simple hot dog lunch served in the main hangar.
Free! Donations appreciated to help defray the cost of putting on this event, and to benefit our annual aviation scholarship fund.

It's like a giant piñata! Kids age 12 and under can line up to watch a helicopter fly over and drop candy. Wait until the signal before rushing the field and collecting as much as you can. Free goodie bag also handed out.

Wrap up the day with an announcement of competition results, and handing out of prizes.
